Oenologist and writer Joan Martinez has carried out his section’s 37th tasting with the wine LaFou de Batea, which he entitles “Uninterruptedly sublime” and scores with 9.95 points.
This author has written more than 2,000 articles, as well as books such as Els vins de l’arc mediterrani, d’alacant a montpeller (Wines from the Mediterranean Basin, from Alicante to Montpellier), and Valencians contra la fil•loxera (Valencians against the Phylloxera). He has won the Juan Mari Arzak National Gastronomic Literature Prize for his article “La cultura del origin en la gastronomía” (Original culture in gastronomy), among other awards.
