The 2016 vintage will be remembered as one of the driest in recent times in the Terra Alta region, and in the Batea area the harvest yield was down by 25% to 30%.
It was, however, an outstanding year as far as grape health and quality are concerned; high acidity and red grapes with a solid structure thanks to their small size.
