On Saturday 11 February, the tasting session for the international competition Grenaches du Monde took place in Sardinia. The contest is promoted by the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon to honour top wines made with the Garnacha variety from designations of origin all around the world.
LaFou de Batea 2013 was awarded the gold medal.
Wines from the DO Terra Alta picked up 17 medals across all categories and was the most successful Catalan designation of origin at the contest.
