On May 29, LaFou Celler celebrated its 10th anniversary by bringing together its top clients and key figures in the world of wine. During this celebratory event, Ramon Roqueta, (oenologist and Director of LaFou winery) joined Josep Pelegrín (Best Sommelier in Spain 2016) to lead a tasting session of LaFou de Batea wine with vintages from 2007, 2009, 2012 and 2014. It is the LaFou’s most exclusive wine and it is the first wine it launched on the market. The tasting also included LaFou Els Amelers with vintages from 2013, 2015 and 2016. It is an emblematic mono-varietal Garnacha white.
Another highlight of the event was the sampling of local cuisine based on dishes from the region which were prepared by Vicent Guimerà, the top chef at Restaurant l’Antic Molí. This restaurant was recently awarded its first Michelin Star, and Vicent Guimerà was named Chef of the Year in Catalonia.
