Due to intense heat during the last few weeks in August and low rainfall at the end of spring, LaFou Winery brought forward its harvest by a few days in order to protect its white varieties, particularly its White Grenache. By harvesting early LaFou could preserve its aromatic freshness and acidity. A drop in temperatures during the first few days of September stabilised harvesting dates so the harvest at LaFou ended during the first week of October and the yield was very good or excellent.
