In their most recent editions, two prestigious wine guides – La Guía de Vinos ABC 2018 and Guía de Vinos Gourmets 2018 – honour LaFou wines by giving them very high ratings: the ABC Wine Guide gave 93 points to LaFou El Sender 2015 and 92 points to LaFou Els Amelers. The Guía de Vinos ABC 2018 awarded LaFou de Batea 2014 with 91 points. The Guía de Vinos Gourmets 2018 gave LaFou El Sender 2015 an excellent rating of 92 points.
The ABC Wine Guide is a guide for all audiences; it is easy to follow and is explained in clear language. It gives its readers direct insight into the best wines according to their appellation of origin, their price and year. “It’s a guide for everyone,” explains Juan Fernández-Cuesta author of the guide.
Since its beginnings, the Guía de Vinos Gourmets 2018 – a gourmet wine guide – has based its reviews and ratings on blind tasting. Since the first edition was published in 1983, this guide has borne witness to numerous changes in the Spanish wine sector and it has kept its public well informed throughout the years.
