On June 30, the 2018 edition of the “Eclipsi de la Garnatxa Blanca” took place. This event is a prelude to the Gandesa Wine Festival and in keeping with tradition, it presents the programme and poster to promote this upcoming wine festival which is held at the beginning of November every year in the capital of the Terra Alta region. This year the Gandesa Wine Festival will celebrate its 31st edition.
In the municipal park in the town of Bot, from nine o’clock in the evening until midnight, the “Eclipsi de la Garnatxa Blanca” provided over 25 references of White Grenache that guests paired with local dishes and gastronomy produced specially for the occasion by restaurateurs from the region. LaFou Els Amelers 2017, a 100% White Grenache wine from the LaFou Winery, was the star of this edition. The name “Els Amelers” pays tribute to the almond trees that live and grow alongside the vines in vineyards in Terra Alta.
