LAFOU Celler accompanies the Terra Alta Designation of Origin during the acts of celebration of its 40th anniversary

The Primavera DO Terra Alta (Terra Alta Designation of Origin Spring weeks) took place last week; a week of cultural and gastronomic activities, with the wines of the Terra Alta Designation of Origin- which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year- in a central role. A week of events in which the wines of LAFOU cellar where also present.

The week started with a gala dinner held at the church of the Old Village of Corbera on Thursday the 20th of April, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Designation of Origin. The dinner party was also the stage of the award ceremony for the Contest of Wines from the Terra Alta Designation of Origin (Concurs de Vins amb DO Terra Alta).

On Friday the 21st of April the cellar took part in the Wine Tourism Congress, which was included in the Primavera Terra Alta and received different tour operators and agencies, to make the territory and the wine tourism experiences offered better known.  On Saturday 22nd the Exhibition on Wines from the Terra Alta Designation of Origin (Mostra de Vins de la DO Terra Alta) took place at the old town of Batea, with the participation of 23 cellars and around a hundred wines to taste. On the same day, in the evening, first day of the Cruïlla DO Terra Alta Festival (Festival Cruïlla DO Terra Alta) with the performances of the bands MClan and els Amics de les Arts, and, on Sunday morning, the performances of Dàmaris Gelabert and La Fúmiga. During the Cruïlla Terra Alta, the wines from the Terra Alta Designation of Origin, including the wines from the LAFOU Celler, were available at the wine bar.

On April 24th and to conclude the week of events, the Professional Exhibition took place, aimed at the catering and hospitality industries and Distribution professionals as well as at prescribers and specialised press.
