This score ranks the wine from LaFou Winery as one of the five best white wines in this reference guide to Spanish wines. The guide highlights that the wine “manages to transmit the best expression of white Grenache and the special characteristics of the Rams vineyard. An exciting, marvellous wine, with notes of honey and great elegance.”
The ABC Guide 2024 includes over 450 wines across different categories (sparkling, white, red, rosé and special). The selection was made and explained by sommelier and specialist critic Pilar Cavero. With this score, and the scores of the other three wines from LaFou Winery, the winery was selected to participate in the IX edition of the ABC Wine Show held on November 22nd at the ABC Serrano Shopping Centre in Madrid.
LaFou de Rams was also awarded 95 points in the Proensa Guide 2024, another reference guide for the sector in Spain, created by Andrés Proensa. In an article in the PlanetaVino magazine, from the same publishing group, they highlight the wine’s “delicate production, with an element that is barrel-fermented with the skins and an element of wine aged in a soleras system, as with classic aged wines, as a nod to history and a contribution of complexity and attractiveness to an expressive and suggestive whole. Aromatic intensity and complexity due to the meticulous elaboration and nurturing, and that fine touch of age and suggestive mineral nuances.”
