LaFou de Batea 2018 recently obtained 96 points in the Proensa Guide 2024. It emphasises that the wine is “broad and deep. Fruity aromas, complexity, floral tones and balsamic notes from beneath the mountains. Balanced, fleshy, fresh, tasty, expressive and with fine aromas.”
In the Peñín Guide 2024, a national and international benchmark, LaFou de Batea 2018 obtained 93 points. LaFou de Batea, LaFou Els Amelers and LaFou El Sender were all at the Top Wines from Spain Tasting Showroom, one of the key events in the wine sector, which features only wines scoring 90 points or more in the Peñín Guide. Aimed exclusively at the professional audience, it took place over two days, November 13th to 14th, at the IFEMA venue in Madrid. Attendees were able to learn about over 2,000 wines from 80 producing areas in Spain, in a tour of different varieties, typologies and creation processes.
