The international competition dedicated to the Garnacha grape variety has published the results of its 12th edition.
The jury, made up of a hundred international specialists, selected the best wines from this variety in the halls of the Aéro Club de France in Paris.
The medal-winning wines tasted included LaFou Els Amelers, which was awarded a Gold medal. Made from 100% Garnacha Blanca, this wine is named in honour of the almond trees growing at the vineyards of Terra Alta.
The competition was created in 2013 by the Conseil Interprofessionnel des Vins du Roussillon (CIVR) of Perpignan and moves to different locations for each edition.
