Sommelier Pilar Cavero has selected more than 450 wines nationwide to create the 2025 edition of the ABC Wine Guide. Among them, she includes LaFou de Rams 2018 with 97 points.
Regarding the wine, made from grapes sourced from the Viña de Rams vineyard, planted in 1966, she highlights: ‘the new white from LaFou that manages to convey the best expression of white Grenache and the special characteristics of the Viña de Rams. Part of the wine undergoes skin maceration, which gives it this unique character. An exciting, wonderful wine with honey notes and great elegance.’
LaFou de Rams 2018 has also been recently rated by other guides or critics: highlights include the 96 points awarded by wine critic and writer Miquel Hudin -who also rates El Sender, Batea, and Els Amelers with 95, 94, and 93 points respectively-, 95 points in the 2025 Proensa Guide -which gives the same score to LaFou de Batea-, or the 92 points from wine critic James Suckling -who also rates the rest of the wines in the range with 90 points or more-.
